Carrier IQ would not take risk to install their software in buggy symbian os cause there’s high probability that those millions of dino age symbian phones may crash servers of carrier IQ with buggy and corrupted data

Dont think thats the case , most of the common apps are available as of now. Yes Skype is missing, but MS being the Skype owner now, i expect more than a app from them in the device. And that may happen soon with next update.

Funny, for me it is the other way round. You’d have to pay me money to get me back to my iPhone 2 or Android (on my HD2). Love the OS. Whatever floats your boat I guess…

I wouldn’t feel bad until recently WP 7 BARELY supported internet standards.

If I were carrieriq Windows Phone 7 would be below webos and Symbian for support. Those OSs have user bases in the millions not the dozens.

Does not support Skype either.

WP does not seem too high in the priority list for application even within the Microsoft organization.
It got really very quite around WP and Skype.

No mentioning of WP on the Skype homepage at all. Does not know about it seems.
Ah well, Microsoft is always lame and late, why should this ever change.

I am gonna keep my WP device till next summer. And then get the iPhone 5.
Get get what you pay for
- with the exception of WP maybe, at least for a long time being.

and carriers and manufacturers wonder why people root their phones. My EVO 3D and EVO 4G both have CiQ disabled (as well as HTC Logger, and all Google tracking software), and have for months. This is not new. But its about time that people started to get upset with carriers for this.
