you got it wrong. They’ll only support *their* desktop apps. If a third party developer wants to build a desktop app for ARM they will not be allowed to.

Ribbon is minimized, as pointed out by several Verge commenters. It’s not really “metro inspired,” it’s the same effect you can achieve in 2007/2010…
