I don't understand why Microsoft seems to be dragging it's feet in media so much. It seems like the moment they finally complete a service or new product they axe it and start over. The whole windows phone taking forever to get off the ground, limited hardware and the Zune player failure baffles me. I also don't understand why they are taking so long to enter the tablet battle in any meaningful way when Motion Computing and others have had windows tablets since well before the Ipad came along.

As a long time Zune user making use of my Zune HD daily, WP7 user and adopter of Windows Live Mail, the only thing I can honestly say I don't mind is the change in the WLM name.

Zune was, and still should be in my opinion, a focal point for Microsoft's entertainment business. If they developed the brand as aggressively as they did with Xbox it would have separated itself from the Windows name enough to have been a successful business.

I am also very concerned about the change in its service and would be sorely disappointed if my 4+ year investment in the Zune Music Pass suddenly became pointless.
