I write code for Windows all the time. I dont ask for thier permission and I don;’t pay them a dime. iOS on the other hand, well, we all know how that goes.

Given the number of MS lawyers harassing Google in court, couldn’t they peal off just one for reviewing design documents related to their $B European consent decree related to browsers. Probably too tied up enjoying the harrassment filled European sales meeting in Norway.

Microsoft considers your PC as its real estate. If others do not pay MS fees, you will not be able to use their software because it is not approved by them (they have not paid MS money for being run on their platform)!
