For those that are looking for a confirmed release date for Metal Gear Solid 4, you’ve got your wish. The previously rumored date of June 12th actually turned out to be right on the money.
What’s great about the official statement is that June 12th is the release date worldwide, not just in a single region. It’s really refreshing to see that places like Europe aren’t stuck waiting around on a game for months after it has been out in Japan and the US.
Also announced was that the game will include a starter pack for Metal Gear Online, though they weren’t forthcoming with details about it. If you preorder the game you’ll get a bonus DVD with character profiles and a 20th Anniversary retrospective on the series.
