Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes console versions compared on video

Earlier this week we mentioned that the new Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes game would have a higher native resolution on the PS4 than the Xbox One. While the Xbox One is stuck with 720p native resolution at 60 fps, the PS4 will get 1080p resolution at 60 fps. The game will also be available on the Xbox 360 and PS3 at 720p using upscaling and 30 fps frame rates.

That led to the obvious question, will the graphics really look that different between the different console versions? That question can now be answered with Konami offering up a new video that compares the four versions of the game side by side so you can be jealous if you are on a lesser performing platform for the game.

The video clearly shows that the next generation consoles have better lighting effects. The overall scene is better lit and objects in the image look more realistic overall. The next generation consoles also have larger texture maps offering more details.

In some scenes, the difference between the consoles is very slight. In other scenes, the differences are clearly noticeable. The differences in resolution will likely show up more for those on larger screens. No matter the platform, Ground Zeroes looks like a really cool game.
