Worth Reading?

NoYes

Regular Joes are less likely to care about Blu-ray profiles and key features – they want it cheap and ability to play any video discs from their Blockbuster rental. The new Memorex MVBD-2510 Blu-ray does just that with a little more to offer. Priced at $269, the value-packed Memorex featuring 5.1 analogue channels out, profile 1.1, audio decoding for Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, and DTS-HD High Resolution along with Master Audio bitstream output.

The lacks of profile 2.0, 7.1 analogue out and internal decoder for DTS-MA aren’t half bad for a sub $300 Blu-ray player. Mark this one down for Christmas gift; it’s scheduled to hit the shelves in November.
