Meizu M3 Max gets official with 6-inch screen and 4100mAh battery

Meizu has taken to twitter to get official with its latest smartphone called the Meizu M3 Max. The name of the smartphone comes from the big 6.0-inch IPS screen with 450 cd/m2 brightness, 1080p resolution and 1000:1 contrast ratio. To keep the smartphone charged up and running it has a big 4100 mAh internal battery.

That battery has mCharge 24W technology inside to allow it to charge faster. Dual SIM card slots are integrated and the smartphone has a 128GB microSD card slot for storage expansion. Internal storage out of the box is 64GB and Meizu crams 3GB of RAM inside.

The processor that runs the show is an octacore unit of unspecified brand and speed. The front camera is a 5MP unit and the camera on the rear of the smartphone is a 13MP unit using a Sony IMX258 sensor for higher quality images. A mTouch fingerprint scanner is built-in for security and convenience making logging in and out of the device faster than typing a password.

The body of the smartphone was made using dual-CNC processing technology and the device is only 7.9mm thick making it easy to fit into a pocket or bag. Meizu offers the M3 Max in gold, gray, silver, and rose gold color. The smartphone seems to be priced decently at RMB 1699, which works out to about $254 here in the US. Availability is unknown right now, it's unclear when it will be available to purchase in China or if it will be offered in countries other than China.
