Mega launches iPhone app following this summer's Android offering

This past July, Kim Dotcom's Megaupload replacement, Mega, launched its Android app for those who prefer to keep their cloud-based activities mobile. At the time, it was promised an iPhone would be arriving in the future, and though nearly half a year has passed, an iOS offering has finally arrived. There's still no sign of a Windows Phone app, however.

There are a couple subscription options available, with the 500GB package being priced at $10.99 per month / $119.99 USD per year and offering 1000GB of bandwidth monthly. To manage subscriptions from the iOS App, you'll need to use your Apple ID with Manage App Subscriptions to toggle automatic and manual payment options. The app gives the same features as the Android version.

With the mobile app, one can upload and download files, being synced with the device's camera for automatic cloud storage syncing. Content can be exported, folders and file links can be exported, there are image thumbnails and editing functions, such as deleting files and folders, renaming content, and more. It was suggested this past summer that more features will become available over time.

The app is available now from the App Store, and with it comes a variety of languages and a file size of 3.5MB. Those who want to use it will need to be running iOS 6.0 or later, with the offering being optimized for the iPhone 5 and available for whatever Apple device you may have — iPad, iPod Touch, or iPhone. A Mega subscription can be purchased from within the app if needed.
