Medion The Touch 10 notebook features AMD A4-1200 CPU

Computer manufacturer Medion has announced its first ultracompact notebook computer that features a HD multitouch display. The ultracompact notebook is called the Medion The Touch 10. The machine gets its name from its 10-inch multitouch HD resolution screen.

The notebook computer uses Windows 8 and includes a free upgrade to Windows 8.1. The notebook will be available for £249 via ASDA online and in retail stores. Medion ships the ultracompact notebook computer with a full version of Microsoft Office Home & Student 2013. The native resolution of the 10-inch multitouch widescreen LED backlit display is 1366 x 768.

The notebook weighs 1.28 kg and features an AMD A4-1200 processor and AMD Radeon HD 8180 graphics. The machine features 500 GB of hard drive storage and integrated Bluetooth 4.0. The notebook also features USB 3.0 connectivity and a memory card reader.

Other features include an integrated clickpad and a HD resolution web cam. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi and the notebook has HDMI and VGA outputs. The integrated audio system has a pair of Dolby Advanced Audio v2 speakers. The £249 purchase price also includes a 24-month warranty.
