It seems being able to forklift old people is of great concern in Japan. Just last week we saw the Power Assist Suit and now Matsushita, also known as Panasonic in the US, has developed two new prototypes along the same lines as robotic arms that, well, can forklift old people. The first robot has two pairs of arms, one to lift a person’s legs and the other for the head and torso. The second robot is more like a bionic arm, able to help persons with disabled arms by synchronizing the movements of the disabled arm with their healthy arm.
