Massively stupid thief leaves smartphone charging in house he robbed

A man has been arrested and is suspected of robbing ten or more homes in the Montgomery county area of Washington. The man is Cody Wilkins and he was caught after a homeowner walked in and saw the man rifling through his belongings.

The homeowner called the police after the thief leapt out a window and ran away. When the police got there they found a mobile phone charging in an outlet that didn't belong to the homeowner. The police used the phone to call a number and told the person who answered that Wilkins had been in an incident and needed his name.

That information led the police to the man who was arrested and is being held a $1 million bond in jail. Moral of the story is if you are going to steal from people, leave your phone at home.
