March release of HTC Legend claims carrier KPN

The existence of the HTC Legend is no great surprise – after all, we've seen the handset in the wild a couple of times now – but going by Dutch carrier KPN the Android smartphone is almost certainly going to make its official appearance at Mobile World Congress 2010 next week.  The carrier prematurely posted a preview page for the Legend this week, confirming some of the rumored specifications in the process, and tipping availability in March.

The reservation form was quickly pulled, but not before Tweakers grabbed a few shots of it.  As we've heard, the Legend has a 5-megapixel camera, GPS and AGPS, and is clearly shown running HTC's Sense UI system.  Unfortunately there's no confirmation of some of the more technical rumors about the phone, particularly talk of it running a faster, 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 chipset than the Hero's 528MHz chip.

Other expected specifications are a 3.2-inch HVGA capacitive touchscreen that uses an AMOLED display panel, the latest version of Android and a brushed aluminum casing.  The Legend is expected to replace the Hero.
