Magellan may not have made much fanfare of their new RoadMate GPS units, but that hasn't stopped Amazon from putting the first up for sale.  The Magellan RoadMate 1470 has a 4.7-inch wide-aspect touchscreen and supports multi-destination routing, highway lane assist and optional Traffic Link updates.

Other functionality includes the AAA TourBook Guide and Roadside Assistance, plus SmartDetour and a microSD card slot.  Magellan supply the RoadMate 1470 with full NAVTEQ mapping of the US, Canada, and Puerto Rico, together with searchable POIs, spoken street names and optional Mexico mapping.

There's no Bluetooth for hands-free support, nor an FM transmitter to route audio through your car stereo, but the price reflects that.  The Magellan RoadMate 1470 retails for $229.99; if you buy before April 30th, the Traffic Link power adapter (which includes both an in-car charger and traffic updates receiver, and normally retails for $79.99) is free.
