Mad Catz S.U.R.F.r, L.Y.N.X.3 gamepads to debut at MWC

In mid-December 2014, Mad Catz introduced a couple of new gamepads for mobile devices, the C.T.L.R.i. If you found the devices to be a worthy addition to your gaming trove but the name to be entirely insufferable, we've both good and bad news: Mad Catz is back with some new devices, and it has decided to retain that oddball naming structure. There's the L.Y.N.X.3 gaming pad for mobiles, and the S.U.R.F.r keyboard gaming pad.

Both of the aforementioned products are based upon the company's recently revealed L.Y.N.X.9 mobile game pad, which was both a transforming game controller and a keyboard. With the L.Y.N.X.3, you get that same kind of foldable game controller without the keyboard attachment — it's just as pocket-friendly, and offers a trio of modes: PC, Mobile Game, and Multimedia (video control, essentially).

The L.Y.N.X.3 has an attachment for connecting your smartphone or other mobile device, and can be tweaked with different profiles/settings for different types of gameplay and preferences. This is joined by the S.U.R.F.r, a keyboard with game pad functionality, making it easier to toggle between playing and typing.

There's likewise a clip for attaching one's mobile device. Both models use Bluetooth to connect. Pricing will be revealed during Mobile World Congress 2015 when both of the products make their public debut, so stay tuned for more updates!
