Isamu Sanada, one of the experts in Mac concept design is showcasing his latest work. A MacCube. The MacCube looks like a Mac Mini on the top but with the height of the old PowerMac G4 cube. According to Isamu, his dream MacCube would be powered by Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz processor, equipped with NVIDIA 7600GT, SuperDrive, Airport Extreme, bluetooth, gigabit ethernet, and more. With integrated power supply, it will not require any power adapter brick.

That is one ugly design, should “expert” be slapped on to any Tom, Dick or Isamu just because they have excellent 3D modelling skills?

if they know what they are doing i think it’s fine. It’s a concept, and this guy has made a lot of concept design, so you can call them expert i their own way.

Apple could make a product like this easily. But they would not add pci slots in it and it wouldn’t have a replaceable video card. So why bother. Unless they were going to sell it for more than the iMac they just wont give us bargain priced MacPro power. We will always pay more for the fastest speed, even though they could produce a quad core Mac mini and give us the same speed as a Mac Pro at half the price. The cube is dead.

It’s a pity Apple are so reluctant to bring back the cube. And to “somejerk”, you must have very low self esteem to label yourself like that. I mean I don’t disagree that you aren’t a jerk, with you touting your objective opinion to dispute this designer’s reputation. But i feel sorry for someone that realizes what they are and still avoids positive change.
