If Apple in anyway reduce the capability or specs of the MacBook Pro in the next upgrade I will be hugely disappointed. I use every little bit of technology my MBP comes with including the optical drive and I don’t really feel like carrying around a bag of accessories if Apple decides to strip back on connections or drives. SO…. I say go for the design change if you like but make sure the machine is more powerful and capable in everyway than the current models without giving people extra baggage to carry around. If not then that’s sadly I will be forced to retire my Apple workflow.

They better not make the Macbook Pro into an Air. I’ve been looking into a Macbook Pro for a while now and am probably going to get one for my next year of college. However, if they slim down the Pro like that, the GPU and optical drive will be gone, which will greatly limit the usefulness of the Pro, as I wanted to play games like BF3 and SC2 on it.

That seems really unlikely. But I will replace my 13″ Air with a 15″ as soon as they come out.

15″ Air is what i want!!!

something around the 1.5kg mark and 15″, very portable yet benefit of big screen.
