"Does this mean there’s a possibility of a carrier-specific MacBook Pro in the future? Perhaps Apple could be preparing a laptop with multiple carrier bands so that it can be sold without a carrier plan attached? Maybe Apple had this awesome idea back in 2007 but has since decided to put it on the back burner?" Or - maybe this is a hoax?

It would be nice to have a 3G (well 4G now) connected Laptop, tablet and Phone, but it just gets so dang expensive. x(

Phone is well, $200 for a good one, and depending what carrier, $10 for a data plan. (really? Not expensive at all)

Tablet? Well, you'll shell out $400 to $700 for a tablet. 3G? add between $100 to $200. (Maybe now $100 to $130) On top of that, you need to shell out at least $20 for like 1/2 GB per month.

Laptop? well maybe $100 to $200 more. then, add the data charge.
Total? I'll be spending like $50-$60 for 2 to 5GB a month! The thing is, for about $50 right now, I get 250GB+ per month! (internet bill)I'm not spending the same amount to get 50 times less data. I mean, data prices for mobile devices are just out of the roof!

If I could spend $10 and get like 10GB of data that I could share between my laptop, tablet and smartphone, that would be great/amazing!!! But I'm not going to spend 5 times that much, to get half the amount of data. :(
