Mac mini gets quiet European price cut

Proving that not every Apple Store update is heralded with a period of anxious downtime, Apple has quietly cut European prices of its Mac mini compact desktop.  Mainland Europe gets €100 off the mini, taking the entry-level model to €699, while the UK sees a £50 cut, to £599.

Unfortunately the US version remains at $699 for the entry-level Mac mini, so it looks like not everybody gets to save some money.  No official word from Apple as yet, but we're guessing they'll slip out a press release later on today.
