Remove Java and remove Flash. These 3rd party programming platforms open up the doors to malware on your computer.

In your web browser, turn off Java. Java should never be used by web browsers in the first place.

Luckily, Mac OS X Mountain Lion is coming. it closes the doors to trojans for the average user.

No, but the majority of mac users, professionals in varried industries, will have no problem using terminal.

On average, a mac user is more expert than a pc user. This is merely statistical. More pcs, cheap pcs, means more novice users.

People have gotten themselves in trouble blindly copying and pasting terminal commands.

Always double check that what is pasted is identical.

go to the application folder and click the utilities folder. Here you will find terminal.

are you kidding me? open software listed. copy command. paste command. read the next line. this is easier than opening microsoft word and typing your name. all you need to do is know how to copy and paste and there are multiple ways to do that. heck, you can even write in the commands if you want to.
