The only problem with that company is that there are so many tutorials on making buring lasers and so many suppliers of the optics that, you know about how much something like this should cost.
If this was a 100.00 price tag on this i would drop that in a heart beat because i dont like sodering but to be honest these companies making these lasers are charging a arm and a leg for them. but i guess you get what you pay for.
Well I do not know of any tutorials on making burning lasers besides taking a 5mW leadlight and increasing the potentiometer to output around 25mW. These crystals such as the KTP, ND:YV04 which actually pump through the light to convert it to 532nm are very expensive and only cheap if bought in mass quantities. Any laser you buy on eBay that is “200mW” is not 200mW of green 532nm light. They are very dangerous because we cannot see the unfiltered infrared light coming out of the aperture. 200mW of any light is very very dangerous.
I’ve been around lasers for a few years, I was very active at lasercommunity.com, and I used to personally know Steve, CEO of WickedLasers before he started doing bad things with his company and I reported him to the BBB a few times.
These lasers are 100% worth it if you want a true output of 120mW 532nm Green Light.
