Why do phone makers keep putting the usb port on the side of the phone? I have to say its the least desirable point of my HTC thunderbolt. Now all 3 of VZW’s LTE phones have it set up this way. Surfing the phone while its plugged in is next to impossible.

First! Someone explain to me why. Why is this phone at a premium price for hardware that is growing outdated very quickly. I mean…the Thunderbolt came out months ago, and it was better stocked. Verizon, this is a backward step. Drop the price, or I don’t think it will sale. You already have better phones for cheaper through third party retailers. Plus, I thought Bing was gone. Insult to injury. Anyone disagree?
