Logitech VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks - Now that's a tiny receiver!

I do a bit of traveling for different shows and such, and that means taking my laptop everywhere. I hate using the trackpad for long periods of time, so I usually have a mouse with me. I'm always terrified that one of these days I'm going to break off that little dongle that plugs into my notebook. Logitech realized this as a problem and solved it with their VX Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for Notebooks.

The USB receiver is the smallest ever. When you plug it in, you barely even notice that it's there. It only sticks out a measly 8mm from your notebook. With a receiver that small, you can just plug it in and leave it, no need to even unplug it when you're done for the day.

I have to say that this is really a first for me. I don't think that I've ever been more excited about the receiver for a mouse than the mouse itself. Well, I was pretty excited about the cradle/receiver that came with my MX700, but this is way better than that. The mouse does have some good features like a MicroGear Precision Scroll Wheel and Forward and Back buttons. Look for it in late August for $69.99.

If you want to see it in action, the guys over at Notebooks.com managed to get their hands on one already. Here's a short video of their experience with it.

Thanks Xavier!
