If there were any PC gamers tempted so much by Microsoft’s XBox 360 wireless steering wheel, which so impressed the XBox Canadian Live team, that they put it on top of their list for Santa, perhaps those gamers might want to reconsider. I4U News put on their perforated leather driving gloves and those funny floppy shoes and tried out Logitech’s G25 steering wheel kit. Okay, it might not be wireless, but with a real-leather force-feedback wheel, switchable gated/tiptronic gears and full-sized pedals, they liked it so much that they scored it 9.5 out of 10!

Frankly, if these gaming wheels get any more realistic then they’ll not only have force-feedback but a full airbag that blasts out at you when you scrape the F1 barriers. The G25 set is available now for around $300. Check out more pictures after the cut.

I had that wheel on review …. and it is really great … but there is one real problem with it that will be important only to the real hardcore drivers. Clutch, brake and accelerator don`t use separate axis …. accelerator and brake are combined on one axis …. so you can`t press them at the same time …. if you do, nothing happens ….
NeutralWho wants to press brake and accelerator at the same time? Drivers of 4×4 Turbocharged cars ….

I’m sure you can enable/disable seperate or combo axis in the control panel like with all the older logitech wheels.
