The dock is apparently designed to hold the iPhone in a horizontal (video viewing) position. It does some minor transformation by way of the speakers parting and allowing the iPhone to rest betwixt them.

Now the dock is clearly designed to hold the iPhone horizontally, but it will work vertically too. Its kind of sad that the world’s first iPhone dock is so, well, boring.

The specs aren’t anything to get your panties in a twist over either, I mean it cranks out a major 4 watts from its 35mm neodymium drivers. I have seen headphones with bigger and better drivers. Oh yeah, there is also the 3.5mm headphone jack and the 2.5mm converter that’s included. The i-Station retails for $65 and is presumably available now.
