Logi ZeroTouch makes any car connected and hands-free

Logitech has rolled out a new product for folks who want a connected car without having to trade in their ride on something different. The new product comes in two styles and is called the Logi Zerotouch Air Vent and the Zerotouch Dashboard smart car mounts for Android smartphones. Both of the mounts work with the Logitech voice control app called Zerotouch.

Together with the app, the mounts give drivers a hands-free and glance free in-care experience allowing the best features of a connected car. The app automatically launches when you dock the phone to the magnetic air vent or dashboard mount. The app allows for texting back and forth using your voice.

Users can place calls via the app and share location with friends and family in real-time with Glympse. Music streaming with Spotify and Deezer are supported along with use of navigation apps like Google Maps, Navigon, and Waze. The use of all those apps is supported without having to look at the phone screen. The goal of the app and smartphone mount is to allow the driver to keep eyes on the road and hands on the wheel and still be able to use the phone. The app requires Android 4.4 or later and Bluetooth Smart technology.

The Air Vent mounts comes in black, white, or red colors with the Dashboard mount coming in black only. The Air Vent mounts are $59.99 each with the Dashboard mount selling for $79.99. The demo videos below show how the mount and app function, it appears that most functions are controlled by holding a hand over the smartphone camera while the app is running. The Dashboard mount has an angled top that holds the phone facing the user when mounted.
