Lockheed Martin announces IronClad secure PC on a stick

Keeping your data safe when you store it on a flash drive is a big deal for many users. If you work with sensitive documents or carry personal data like medical records on a flash drive the need for security is even more important. Lockheed Martin has announced a new PC on a Stick called IronClad.

The IronClad USB drive has an entire OS, software, and files on a secured flash drive. The device can be plugged into most laptops and desktops around the world to provide an instant and secure access point to a personal desktop and files.

The entire works runs off the flash drive so the user's personal files and data never touches the host computer and when removed there is no trace that the flash drive was ever there. The IronClad device is encrypted with hardware-level protection against malware and rootkits. The drives are at least 8GB and have 256-bit security. Pricing and availability are unknown at this time.
