Line Dock USB-C notebook charging device packs power and storage

Notebook users with machines that have a USB-C port that need more power for life on the road might want to pay attention to the Line Dock. This device claims to be the first USB-C device in the world that integrates a battery to keep your notebook running longer, connectivity, active cooling, and an SSD for storage. Line Cooler packs all that stuff into a 9mm chassis making it very portable.

The battery inside the dock has 20,000 mAh of power and the Line Dock also supports Qi wireless charging so you can lay your gadgets that support wireless charging on top of the battery and power them up as well. Up to four devices can be charged at one time. Line Dock packs other connectivity options and adds in an extra USB-C port, three USB 3.0 ports that support Qualcomm Quick Charge tech, an HDMI output, MiniDisplay Port, and a SD card reader.

It's designed to match your MacBook and comes in space gray and silver colors. Storage space inside the Line Dock is 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB and you can get the dock without additional storage space as well. The cooling solution inside the dock promises to cool to 51.5F in a 72F room. Line dock promises to actively cool a laptop placed on top of it by up to 50%.

Line Dock is on Indiegogo seeking $50,000 and as raised over $10,000 with a month to go. The Pro version with 512GB of storage is $399 with shipping in June 2017. A Basic version with no charging is $149 and the Standard version with 256GB storage is $239. The top of the line Executive version with 1TB storage is $599.
