The head guy at the FCC is not blameless in this, and should be fired over it.

1. Why was this really big waiver request from Lightsquared NOT allowed to be reviewed by the full FCC commission? Ask Julius.

2. Why was there NO testing AT ALL done by the FCC to determine if GPS interference would be a problem, before REMOVING operating restrictions on the band that had the significant effect of LIMITING INTERFERENCE to GPS? Ask Julius.

3. Why was the responsibility for demonstrating that there was no GPS interference handed over to the very company (Lightsquared) that would benefit greatly by saying that there was none? No surprise when they sporadically claimed that there was no inteference problem, alternating with the story that the interference problem was not their fault. Ask Julius.

4. Why has the FCC refused requests from Congress to produce government documents that will explain how this got so fast tracked to begin with? Ask Julius.

Many years of solid common sense seemed to have been thrown out the window at the FCC over the past few years. Why is this so? Ask Julius.

The FCC engineers have worked HARD on this and this a-holio is acting like a spoiled child. Now, many of the staff at the FCC are lazy, unqualified morons (clerks and such), but those who were working on this particular project are extremely dedicated and hard-working individuals.
