Lifeshirt looks like a shirt, but can act like a life vest

There are plenty of people who like to be around the water for relaxing or recreation who don't want to wear a traditional life vest while they play. The vests could save your life if you fall in the water or are injured while surfing, skiing, or boating but they are bulky and often uncomfortable so people pass on them.

A new type of safety device has debuted called the Lifeshirt that it set to launch globally soon. Lifeshirt is a personal flotation device that looks like a normal shirt when you are out of the water. The shirt can be inflated manually by pulling tabs on the shoulders or it can activate itself automatically when a sensor detects submersion of the wearer.

A CO2 cylinder performs inflation and the inflation happens in a bladder around the upper torso and neck allowing the wearer to keep their head above water. The shirt also has an emergency oral inflation and release valve on the right shoulder.

The shirt has an internal moisture wicking layer, mesh ventilation panels, and UPF 50+ fabric. Lifeshirt has been approved by International Standards Organization as a Level 50 device. That signifies that the design forces the user to position their face out of the water rather than automatically keeping the wearers face out of the water. The shirt will not meet guidelines for recreational boats and paddle craft.
