LG Customer service SUCKS!!!! I purchased
a 42" TV at the end of 2007 with a 4 year service contract. After 4
years and 1 month it broke and LG will not assist in fixing the issue.
The issue is a VERY common problem and I wonder why this television was
not recalled!

Our LG washer WT4801CW is 2 months old and we absolutely hate it. Why on earth would this LG washer have hot, warm, eco warm, cold, tap cold temperature settings along with hot and cold hose attachments and then limit temperature of the hot water to 63dgF/16degC which is not even lukewarm. Even the salesmen at HomeDepot don't know about this. They are selling this product thinking that it uses hot water. Can anyone imagine washing baby diapers in water at this temp. I have been told by Home Depot I can't return it. I was Stupid to buy it. Stupid Stupid Stupid. I called LG and when they told me it only uses cold water I told them this was fraud and I wanted to talk to a supervisor. LG put me on hold for 30 min till I finally hung up. They know what this machine is and they don't care!

Ddfdffdf, so how's your job at LG coming along? I know you work there if you are defending this total piece of crap. Want details? The LG direct drive motor that LG says is warranteed for 10 years has gears that are made of plastic. Call any appliance parts center, and you'll find that they have tons of the replacement parts in stock. Everbody knows when a company stocks twenty of one certain part it is because of the failure rate. You should be ashamed of yourself and I hope LG lays you off.

My LG washer, #WT5001C is an absolute piece of crap! 90% of the time the clothes are a tangled mess. I mean, a MESS!!! I do everything the manuel suggests to no avail. The load sensor is ineffective. Too often the water level is too low or too high. I feel like I have to babysit the darn thing. Never, ever again!!!

our new LG side loader spues soap suds out the soap drawer down the front of the washer, and yes it not over filled, its filled to the suggested line in the tray. Have to use a minimal amount of soap. (2) wont clean my slightley greasy work clothes unless i scrub thym down out on the sidewalk before butting them in the washer, (3) that terrible start stop action when it is filling with wator. Glad its in the basement instead of up stairs ruining the floor

I do Not recommend Whirlpool or LG.

In Early January, I purchased a top loading Whirlpool HE Machine. At a little less than three Months, It Broke and wouldn't drain. The Repairman came out. He needed to get the tub out because there was a Jam. Unfortunatly the Big Bolt holding the tub in was so Corroded, he couldn't get it off. He was amazed, saying the part looked like that of a ten year old machine. Since we were still in the 3 month return window for Sears, we returned it and opted for a More Expensive LG HE Top Loader. This time, we purchased the 5 year warranty from Sears just in case we run into another problem.

It will be three months since we bought the New LG Top Loader and guess what? The Entire top of the Plastic on the Tub is Melted and has sharp pieces are sticking out everywhere. The repairman is coming out in a couple of days. We want him to explain how this happened. Was the melting caused by Friction or an Electrical problem. Again, we're in the three months Window and will be returning this machine too.

Now we're not sure what to buy when we return this one. Perhaps we need to go back to the old fashion Agitator machine. I really loved how the LG Worked until it melted inside.

Again, Whirlpool Sucks and so does LG. I have experience with Both in only 6 months time!

Like many others, I purchased the LG washer and dryer together (from Home Depot). The first time I went to use the dryer, it didn't even turn on. After checking the obvious reasons (blown circuit breaker, not plugged in, etc.) I called LG customer service. Got some woman who could barely speak English telling me that I needed to call one of their associated repair companies, as dealing with Home Depot would void my warranty. (WTF??) I called all four companies she referred me to, only to find out that none of them make weekend service calls, and only come out between 8 am and 4 pm. I called LG cusomter service right back, furious...this is a brand new washer, and I REFUSE to take a day off work to accommodate the schedule of their chosen repair companies. I think I may have even cursed, I don't know....but I was pissed. In the end, LG won...I had to take a day off work for an 'LG certified technician' to come out and replace the plug. No problems since then (a year ago) until now....now the washer is not dispensing the bleach, and leaves half the tray of softener in the basin. LG will NEVER get my business again, be it a TV or any other appliance. I should have went with my instincts and stuck with a GE.

I purchase the LG Washer and Dryer because Consumer Report listed them Number UNO (One). This was two years ago. I've been fighting mold for the last 2 years. Consumer Report subscription has now been cancelled and several friends that asked if I would recommend LG - NO - NO -NO. I am truly sorry that I followed Consumer Reports' recommendation. MOLD MOLD MOLD LG said dry it after every use, with the their rubber seal, impossible. LG will not be getting my business in the future. Posted 5-6-2011

Bought a LG Flatron Monitor and within 2 years it has died. I am now in the process of trying to get it serviced and its been painful to say the least. All these garbage products breaking within a few years and it just doesn't make any sense. Why are the older products able to last for years and years and never have a hitch but when you but the "New and improved" stuff, it breaks within a year or two. Sometimes even months.

LG is garbage and I will never buy another product they sell.

I have the top of the line washer just like the one above. Purchased the bases also. The washer vibrates so much we had to remove it from the base. We cannot do a full load or the machine will vibrate away from the wall. We are scared to leave the house with the machine running. These are the biggest piece of junk that I have ever owned. I have had better luck out of a $200 washer. At least it stays in one place. We will never purchase another LG product ever. The sad part is they do not care, no support what so ever from these clowns.

LG Washer and Dryer=CRAP

I brought top of the line washer and dryer, 2 weeks after using the dryer rattled like I have never heard before, thank god home depot replaced it as under 30 days, NOW my washer keeps leaking water all over my new laundry room and has destroyed my new furniture in the room, keep calling and they keep sending repair people out who still cannot fix the problem. SO FRUSTRATED!

I LOVE my LG washer and dryer. I purchased the top of the line steam washer and dryer...I've had it almost 2 years now and I love how clean my clothes are. Previously, I had a Kenmore and hated it....didn't nearly do the job that my LG does. I bought a bright red set with pedestals and I couldn't be happier with it. I've recommended LG to many friends. In my opinion, they are very dependable do a wonderful job.

I also purchases a washer and dryer about 9 months ago. I agree that the washer does not provide enough water to clean the clothes, however, what can I do about that now? My problem is service, called about 10 days ago for a problem with the door switch, waited 6 days for the service person to come out, just to confirm the problem and tell me they don't carry the parts, will have to order. When they come in, we can call and set up another service call. Already spend $70.00 to go wash my clothes in 10 days. Don't think that they will reimbursement for that!

Your mistake you let them leave before washer was functional. If you have anything installed never let the installer leave till you know everything works. I agree most likely something not done correctally at install

This guy is right. LG is a piece of CRAP!!! They do not back up their products. I bought this $1400 washer because it looks fancy but it is the worst washer I ever bought. It worked good for the first 3 years. After that, It first started to have LE warnings then I did a reset, it worked fine for the next few months. Then it completely died and I found out that the fuse got blown on the main circuit. Guess what you can't just replace the fuse LG idiots make you replace the whole control board (Cost: $78 with shipping). So I bought a new board put it in and it worked fine for one wash and then it died again with some burnt smell. Now I have to call a service guy because I don't know if it is the fuse, the motor or what??? And this is suppose to be the top of line. In my other house I have a $385 GE standard washer that is still working strong for the last 13 years. Don't buy LG they just throw bunch of products on the market without any tests or quality checks - These are made in Korea and I think their quality sucks!!!! The service guy wants $75 just to come over to the house then it is Plus labor Plus Parts - GEEZ thanks LG for sucking all my money!!!

WOW. I have spent the entire day trying to track down what is wrong with my new LG Steam washer (i.e. Online email chat with LG Rep also placed a service call etc..). I have had the washer and dryer combo for 2 weeks. The Dryer works great however, the washer does not clean the clothes (i.e. it barely puts any water in the tub to clean the clothes. Yes I have done ll the troubleshooting checked hoses, filters, pressure etc... it simply does not put enough water into the cycle it only dampens clothes and spins them. Spots do not come out, stains do not come out. As the day has progressed, I have read numerous complaints on line at several other sites. There is an option to add a pre wash and selecting the water plus option however it takes 2:24 hours/mins to execute these settings NO LIE 2.24 hours. Even then It still does not appear to add enough water even when selecting those features. They need to recall these machines as they simply DO NOT CLEAN CLOTHES. I am returning this on Monday as there is a 90 day return clause in the contract.

Totally agree with you on this! What a piece of junk. Half the time my dispensers don't even work. So, I have to run the load again and again. A few times, the bleach dispenser didn't work and it ruined a load of towels!!! It says it will take a hour to do a load of wash and it ends up taking a hour and a half!

Plus, the mildew smell is there constantly in our washer and you can't get it out. My towels wreak!

I have NEVER had such a piece of junk before and I will NEVER buy another LG appliance as long as I live!!!

To anyone thinking of LG they do not back up their product. They tell you the machine has a 1 year warranty heads up LG I can read and your book says 2 years on the control panel page 35 in the book. Only when questioned on 3 different calls will one person finally admit that various parts have different warranties. Does not make a difference the LG repair place here wont even touch them anymore. So where does that leave the consumer BBB here I come. LG SUCKS

yeah i know about that hose and if you look at the Whirlpool and Maytag Models they don't have them. I asked a lowes salesman why and he says that Whirlpool and maytag don't need them because their pump is stronger than any of the foreign models...less work for me!
