Every time I hear anything about the LG Chocolate phone, I hear Homer Simpson in my mind “Mmm…Chocolate.” Sorry about that, anyway, LG will apparently be introducing a more budget-friendly version of their chocolaty phone.

The new LG KG289 will be the newest phone to bear the chocolate name. Since it’s budget friendly it’s going to be lacking some of the features you’ll see in higher-end phones. It’s only going to be a GSM Triband phone, so don’t go looking for a 3G connection, you’ll be stuck with GPRS only.

What it lacks in hardware it makes up in looks. The phone should keep the same looks as the previous Chocolate, so you know it’ll be nice. No word yet on just how inexpensive they’re looking to make this phone.
