My only concern is the battery life. After doing some reading on the Optimus 3D it seems like it doesn’t even make it through the day with moderate use, much less with 3D usage. Could you comment on the Thrill’s battery?

You can upgrade long before your contract ends – something like six months, for no extra charge.

This phone is excellent. I picked it up sim free in the UK, My gf and close friends have the evo 3d and even they admit that the 3D on the LG spanks the evo3D. There are a number of 3D gamesloft titles and the gullivers travel 3D book is awesome. The tri dual technology makes the phone blisteringly fast, I ran 25 apps at once and there was no lag. The battery also lasts a lot longer than the evo 3d even tho it is a 1500mah and the Evo3d is 1750mah, I guess the fact that the thrill has as arm a9 chip makes the difference as evo3d has the older a8 arm design. Asphalt 6 plays sensational in 3d as well as assassins creed, shrek kart and avatar as well as spiderman. This kills the evo3d no contest!

its actually faster believe it or not.. dual core dual channel makes up for its shortage of ram compared to the evo, and when it updates to 2.3 it will be one kickass device

Nope. I am strictly using my EVO 3D on WiFi since I have a prepaid phone. I won’t be enslaved to a contract!! I heard the 3D experience us much superior on the Thrill and if it is plus pretty much the same speed, I’m selling my EVO 3D. I will use the Thrill off contract like an ipod,touch

they are very similar.. the 3D technology is the same as I have both sitting right here.. Personally if you want 3D I’d choose between carrier and hardware preference ATM as the 3D technology is very similar and still in infancy.

my att contract ends on the 8th and this phone comes out on the 7th. Its rare reality has such nice timing.
