LG ST600 maybe a welcomed unit to some people, but not for me.
All was good for the first two months now, I can't connect to netflex or any
or any other program.
All I get is LG's power bar time after time. I'm a little perturbed because I
didn't get any satisfaction from an LG Rep.

Just got one for each TV. Did updates and was thrilled to see Amazon
VOD, VUDU HD, Netflix, YouTube, Pandora, and a dozen more premium
services. All worked great.

Used FreeMake Video Converter (free) to convert owned DVDs to MKVs and they played perfect.

I can't believe the web browser works as well as it does.

Those that have reported irritation with missing Amazon VOD and
others need to do the latest update and get the latest applications as
well.

The "LG Apps" are a joke, so just ignore them. They are not really
worth reviewing. The Premium Apps, DLNA capability for networked
playback of music, videos, and pictures, plus the web browser more than
make up for them.

Played music, pictures, and videos successfully over my home network
(Apple Time Capsule generation 1) using DLNA. Also installed Nero
(provided on disk) to share music, videos, and pictures, and it worked
fine. I don't really need it since I have Windows Media Player, which
is also a DLNA service for all three.

With the ability to plug external drive into USB port, you can play even the most demanding videos.

There is an LG Remote App for Android and IPhone that can control
this device over the home network. The version that works with the
ST600 also has a keyboard and mouse capability. When connected to my
LG670, it doesn't have the keyboard feature, so that is another point in
the favor of the ST600.

In all, this is an awesome box. Of course, it doesn't play DVDs or
CDs, as it doesn't have a slot for such, but it also cost $100 less than
other devices that provide such capabilities.

As a negative, I wish it would directly play VOB files and not have to convert my DVDs to MKVs.

LG ST600 currently does not support hulu plus, at least not by app. The biggest downfall is that the LG remote iphone app supports only a select few Smart TV's and the LG ST600 is not included currently. The reason this is such a downfall is the remote that comes with the ST600 is almost useless. It mocks me to see the Magic Wand remote next to the ST600” LG's upgraded Magic Remote was also present -- though it's not compatible with this box due to a lack of integrated motion controls. The new wand will ship with LG's latest Smart TVs.” The device is update able, and desperately needs an update with (1) more browser video support; (2) More apps, including the promised Hulu Plus, and ESPN 3/Google Maps would be nice; (3) LG remote iphone app support is a must. The Netflix/Pandora apps and DLNA support are the only plus's. Netflix HD quality is sweet. At $130 should come with an HDMI cable to make it worth it as-is.
