I’ve never really been a fan of wireless headsets. It always takes me a second to realize that the man standing next to me in line at the grocery store is actually in the middle of a phone conversation, not the crazed one sided dialog that it seemed. But I’ll make a concession for this cool new concept from LG.

Stereo buds would store and charge in your phone. When they are in the phone they act as speakers for speaker phone, and music playback. You can then remove them from the phone and use them as stereo bluetooth headphones. When you receive a call one ear piece acts as a speaker, the other switches over to a microphone.

This is a really cool idea, but I don’t know if it will ever see the light of day. Consumers are often picky about headsets (size, weight, in-ear, over-ear, ect.), and unless they would be upgradeable or interchangeable, LG would end up with a lot of unhappy customers. I can also see these little buds being misplaced left and right. I guess they would make good money selling replacement parts.
