Apple nor any other company own shapes...be it rectangular, square-like, circular etc. No one own shapes...as soon as patent givers or companies who try to lay claim to them realize this the better we will all be so as to step back from all the frivolous lawsuits. Also the location of buttons on a device or shapes of icons and their location on a screen should NEVER be awarded to any company. It is time those charged with issuing patents realize this are different times and the cellular/mobile industry is moving at lightening speed therefore multiple OEMs can be working on similar technology at the same time. Besides some of these stuff has been out there for a while and many of these companies are merely improving or building on that. How can nine laymen/women with no patent expertise and also without having all the evidence decide a huge patent case fairly???
