LG’s first Android smartphone, the LG GW620, has made an appearance in France, and CNET were there to catch the sliding touchscreen handset on video.  The GW620 has a 3-inch 320 x 480 resistive touchscreen, a full QWERTY keyboard, HSDPA 7.2Mbps and WiFi, and runs Android 1.5 Cupcake.

Unfortunately for those of us not tutored in the language of love, the video is in French.  However, as long as you’re happy looking at the pretty moving pictures this is a good chance to see the GW620 in action rather than in press-shots.

The LG GW620 will arrive in Europe later this month, with an expected pre-subisidy price of between €400 and €450 ($582-655) and a post-subsidy price of under €100.  It will offer both the standard Android UI and LG’s own S-Class UI, and while the touchscreen may disappoint some by virtue of not using a capacitive panel, CNET report it’s still very responsive to finger-touches.

[Thanks Alexandre!]
