LG G3 "doubling" battery life - but not how you'd expect

Today the folks at LG are attempting to break up the wave of Apple iPhone 6 hubbub with a note on the LG G3. They'll be pushing this phone with a deal between September 9th (today) and the 22nd of this month for the phone with a free extra battery and battery-charging cradle. Sound like the battery doubling you're looking for?

In reality, it's not exactly super possibly for a company to promise a doubled battery life – unless you're Jawbone or have access to fairy magic. So for LG, this is the next best thing.

And what's more awesome than being able to replace your battery? LG will be all about touting this removable battery feature over the next few weeks as the iPhone 6 hits the streets, of that you can be sure. Apple's iPhone line has notoriously been without removable batteries since inception.

The LG G3 is the first smartphone to work with a quad-HD (2K) display on a 5.5-inch panel. It's also working with a rather excellent back-facing 13-megapixel camera with Laser Autofocus and OIS+. Have a peek at our full LG G3 review for more on this top-end smartphone.
