LG G Watch and Samsung Gear Live update KMV78V rolls out

The first two Android Wear smartwatches making their way to consumers' wrists, the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, have received their first updates, with an over-the-air update making its way to both wearables.

This is update KMV78V for Android Wear, and if you've already gotten your hands on one of the smartwatches, you can manually check for the update by heading into Settings -> About -> System Updates.

The pertinent question is what the update brings with it — there aren't any details available yet, though we'll no doubt get more info in the near future. Given how early the update is rolling out, this might be ironing out some issues ahead of consumers getting their purchases.

If you haven't checked them out already, we've reviewed both the LG G Watch and the Samsung Gear Live, putting them through the paces. The LG G Watch is now available through the Google Play Store, shipping within two days according to the description, while the Samsung Gear Live will begin shipping July 8.
