We’re still waiting for LG’s Q3 2009 launch of the BL40 “Chocolate” phone, so until then we’ll have to make do with stolen time and sneaky glimpses of the elongated touchscreen featurephone. Dan from Mobiles dropped us a line to let us know that they had just such a video, showing the BL40’s S-Class UI and navigating through the various multimedia features.

There’s also some web browsing shown, and while the BL40 may lack the flexibility of a true smartphone it seems reasonable to say that it has some major potential as a mobile internet device. The broad, 4-inch 21:9 display is ideal for showing the full width of sites when held horizontally, and assuming the browser can hold up its end of the bargain then this could be the BL40’s secret weapon.
Otherwise it’s S-Class stretched out, though reassuringly snappy on the BL40’s unknown internal hardware. Check out the full video below, and then head over here for the official specs.
