Lexus LX 570 features All-speed Dynamic Radar

Lexus has rolled out the latest version of its luxury LX 570 SUV at the 2013 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California. This car show was traditionally known as the place where people owning meticulously restored and wildly expensive classic cars came to show them off. In recent years, it has become a place where automotive manufacturers come to roll out new luxury and sports models.

Lexus' new LX 570 is completely redesigned for 2016 with only the door panels carried over from the 2015 model. The car is fitted with a 5.7L V8 engine with an 8-speed transmission. Drive Select Mode allows the driver to tailor powertrain and suspension settings using a dial on the console to settings for whatever they are doing. ECO, comfort, and sport modes are included.

The big V8 engine makes 383hp and 403 lb-ft of torque, the car has four-wheel drive and a 7,000-pound towing capacity. For 2016, the LX 570 gets a panoramic view camera that can help with hitching and maneuvering a trailer and to view terrain when off-roading. Some of the biggest upgrades come in the safety features offered.

For 2016, the LX 570 gets a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, intelligent high beam, and all-speed dynamic radar cruise control. The cruise control system is so effective you can set a distance you want to be from the vehicle in front and the cruise maintains that distance at all speeds. It will even smoothly slow down when a car is merging onto the road in front of you. Lexus also gives the SUV blind spot monitoring and rear cross traffic alert. Pricing is unannounced at this time.
