Lenovo VIBE S1 Lite budget phone boasts 5" FHD display

Lenovo has introduced its newest smartphone, the budget-friendly VIBE S1 Lite. Despite its budget status, the phone brings with it some decidedly mid-tier specs, including a Full HD 5-inch "wide-view" display and up to 32GB of internal storage (complemented with a microSD card slot for expansion). The phone will be arriving soon in places where Lenovo's other VIBE phones are sold, but unfortunately won't be landing in the United States.

As with some other smartphones recently added to the market, the newest VIBE is selfie-friendly with the inclusion of an 8MP front-facing camera and a 5-piece lens promised to produce distortion-free photos. Around back, meanwhile, is a 13MP PDAF camera with a dual-LED flash.

The cameras are joined by software that includes retouching tools and a panorama selfies feature for taking a so-called "groupie" photo. Aside from its cameras, the phone features a 64-bit MTK 6753 oct-core 1.3GHz processor, 16GB and 32GB storage options, and a 2700mAh battery.

As far as design goes, the VIBE S1 Lite features a metallic frame with an ergonomically-focused curve on the back and matte colors. Both white and blue options are available. When it launches, the phone will start at $199 USD. Pricing for the 32GB model isn't clear.
