We’ve finally gotten some new info on Lenovo’s leather-bound ThinkPad Reserve. It’s got some decent specs, but it’s not what’s on the inside that really makes this notebook worth it.

Lenovo Thinkpad Reserve Edition

The notebook is powered by a 1.6GHz Core 2 Duo, 2GB of RAM and a 160 GB HDD. You’ll also get an 80GB external drive for keeping backups. Sounds nice, but is it worth $5,000? They’re going to have to throw something pretty nice in to sweeten the deal.

They have in fact thrown in 24×7 tech support over the phone. That’s good, but still not $5,000 good. Fine, if that’s not enough, they’ll fly anywhere in the world if you’re having issues with it and take care of you. Now that’s customer service! I still wouldn’t see myself paying that much for a laptop, even with great tech support.

For those that just have to have the latest: 27×7 tech is 3 better than 24×7 tech support.
