It has sort of an on-the-fence aesthetic between the IdeaPad consumer line and the ThinkPad business line.

I also think adding a small business notebook to the IdeaPad Series is Lenovo’s way of promoting their consumer line. Maybe they’re hoping they can get some of they’re loyal ThinkPad fans and maybe gain some extra exposure.
