Lenovo IdeaPad U160 on sale now: Core i5/i7 and HDMI

Lenovo's IdeaPad U160 11.6-inch ultraportable, announced last month, has shown up on the company's webstore. Priced from $1,049, the U160 has a 1366 x 768 glossy display, a choice of Intel Core i5 or Core i7 ULV processors, and 4GB of DDR3 memory as standard.

The IdeaPad U160 08945JU has a 1.06GHz Core i5-520UM CPU and a 320GB 5,400rpm HDD; the IdeaPad U160 089455U gets a 1.20GHz Core i7-640UM and a 500GB 5,400rpm HDD. Both use Intel GMA HM55 graphics, have WiFi b/g and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, together with a 6-cell Li-Ion battery.

That's not bad for machines under an inch thin and less than 3lbs in weight, and just in case you drop them Lenovo have added automatic hard-drive protection. The Lenovo IdeaPad U160 08945JU is $1,049 while the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 089455U is $1,149.
