Lenovo have partnered with DeviceVM to put the SplashTop instant-on OS onto a new version of the company's netbook.  The IdeaPad S10e will offer the same 1.6GHz Intel Atom N270 CPU as other S10 netbooks from Lenovo, but it will boot within seconds into the "Lenovo QuickStart" OS with access to the internet and media.

As with other systems that use Splashtop – such as certain notebooks and motherboards from ASUS – S10e users will be able to browse the internet, watch Flash video such as YouTube, play music, browse photos and chat on a multi-client instant messenger.  It also has a Skype client for VoIP calls.

At the click of a button the S10e boots up in Windows XP, offering full access to files and all the users normal software.  Neither pricing nor availability for the Lenovo IdeaPad S10e QuickStart have been announced.
