Quite simply put I am shocked! This netbook is amazing! It came with Win 7 Starter but I upgraded it to Win 7 Professional which took about 30 min. The instant on feature (quick start) is also an amazing piece of software. It took about 3 seconds total for it to boot up which is amazing. But even Windows boots up rather quickly and runs much smoother than Win XP that is on my brother’s netbook with fairly similiar hardware, really only difference is CPU his is 1.6 and S10-3 is 1.66. The veriface login feature while not really practical is a very cool feature and provides some entertainment I still like to use it just because I think it’s cool. But it actually takes a lot longer to login wit veriface rather than just typing the password. The battery life I was also shocked by, I had it charged up all the way and just had it running on the energy saver plan with screen brightness all the way up, playing music, and using wifi. I had about 8 hours worth of power using a 6-cell battery. A couple things though about the features listed above…
1) it only comes with Win 7 starter you cannot choose a different OS
2) you cannot choose the camera type it comes with a 1.3 MP
3) there is no option for bluetooth and does not come with bluetooth (disappointed i was under the impression that it does)
4) the expanded battery is not an 8 cell but a 6 cell

now these may change especially since it is a brand new product but for now the features are not really correct. The keyboard takes a little getting used to but after you do it works amazing and very responsive. I’m also impressed with the trackpad, this is the first one that I can actually use and not have problems like HP, Dell, and others. I have never seen a trackpad like this one before and am very impressed! The speakers work great and have great sound quality. I do wish it had power manager like my Lenovo SL500 that I have but it still works. Overall though this is a great netbook stylish, small but powerful, runs smoothly, and has great qualities.
