Lenovo Flex 2 dual-mode laptops intro'd with performance boosts

Rounding out the new products Lenovo plans to roll out this summer is the new Flex 2 dual-mode laptops, boosting what the original models offered and doing so in two different sizes: 14-inch and 15.6-inch. Both convertible laptops are slated to arrive this coming June.

The laptops will be available in black and silver, and will be able to rotate 300 degrees, with an optional backlit keyboard. There are two modes: Laptop and Stand, with the latter involving flipping the keyboard beneath the screen to form a stand-like position.

Both models can be had with a Full HD widescreen display, as well as up to NVIDIA GeForce graphics and up to an Intel Haswell Core i7 processor. For those who prefer AMD, the machines can also be had with Radeon R5 M230 graphics and an AMD APU processor.

Said Lenovo PC Group VP Dilip Bhatia, "The new FLEX 2 gives consumers two great devices — a full-function, multitouch laptop and a second, Stand mode — in one machine all at an extremely affordable price. New features like a crystal clear high resolution screen and the latest processing technologies make it even more suited to helping express and manage consumer's digital lives."

The smaller model starts at $799, while the larger one starts at $429 USD.
