Lenovo A740 27-inch all-in-one PC hailed as thinnest in class

Among the all-in-one PCs Lenovo has debuted here at CES, the A740 stands out due to its large display size. Measuring in at 27-inches, this model is the thinnest in its class at 4mm in thickness. Design was of particular importance with the A740, with Lenovo calling it "fashion forward" with a single-piece aluminum backing that runs down into the stand portion of the unit. Beyond design and bragging rights, this AiO brings with it a variety of top-notch specifications, all of which we have detailed for you after the jump. The A740 features a 27-inch display with a viewing angle of 178-degrees and a resolution up to WQHD 2560 x 1440. As with some of the company's other PC offerings this week, this all-in-one model offers NVIDIA GeForce graphics options, though specifics weren't provided. Unfortunately, the processor options for this particular PC model weren't detailed either, though it would seem Haswell might be a solid guess, considering how many other models with it are being launched by the company.Connectivity is fairly extensive, with Bluetooth and 802.11 WiFi both being offered, as well as NFC and an optional TV tunor for those who want the unit to double as a small smart television. Storage options will include up to 1TB of hard drive space, and video ports include HDMI-in. The touchscreen display supports 10-finger multi-touch, which is complemented by voice control and integrated motion control.Topping it all off is Dolby Home Theater version 4 audio and JBL speakers. The system is loaded with Windows 8.1, and combining them all together results in a completely self-sufficient machine able to handle all sorts of swiping and tapping, as well as more demanding tasks that put its display and graphics hardware to good use. The computer will be available starting at $1,499 USD in June.
