Playstation is better, the online play is free, I’ve found the only downsides are the maneuvering around the dashboard takes getting use to and you can’t send someone an invite unless they are on your friends list which prevent “Invite bombs” to all recent players for a large private match on Call of Duty or something. Anyone can say something is better than something else, but in all reality it’s all about preference and perception.

I play Everquest on the SOE network and they’ve not sent me any information at all. All that I’ve seen is what’s in the news so I don’t quite understand it when they say they’ve contacted their consumers in the US.

1. Report hackers. Microsoft banned almost 600,000 Live users because they had hacked consoles. They take it seriously.

2. Yes, Xbox Live was hacked, but it didn’t cost gamers or Microsoft anywhere near what Sony is going through.

3. Hackers exist, or existed, on the Playstation Network as well.

After reading this report, I think ps3 users will have to pay for online. Notice how before sony were offfering ’30 days of playstation plus’ but now they are saying ’30 days of free service’ which suggests that the online play will no longer be free after the 30 days we get

i know sony is a business and that businesses tend to be greedy, but saying that the hackers were ONLY AFTER sony and ARE NOT taking advantage of stealing financial information from the customers is bull.

It is this denial of fault that is nauseating. Greedy bastards demanded the ip addresses of all that had visited geohotz webpage. That is an intrusion into privacy. The hackers that did this were not after the consumers. They were after Sony and they got them.
